At Protea Farm we offer more than just the usual activities for our guests. Situated in the Langeberg Mountain range, our activities are incredibly varied, for example: Tractor trips, hiking, 4×4 trails and mountain biking. Montagu Tractor Trip
In 1985 the Protea Farm started offering the now famous Montagu Tractor Trip. The trips take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays (large groups can be accommodated on other days of the week except Sunday). The tractor, pulling its load of sightseers, meanders its way up the Langeberg Mountain, reaching an altitude of 1500m above sea level. On the way up you will have a bird’s eye view of the Koo Valley and, once at the top, you can look down into the Robertson Valley.
After a brief stop at the mountain hut for a surprise, you head down again.

Trips are scheduled for Wednesdays and Saterdays at 10h00
Group bookings any day except Sundays.
Please Note:
Bookings during October may be affected due to annual road and tractor maintenance.
Unpleasant weather conditions might also result in a trip cancelled.
